Floyd A. "Bub" Dean's Obituary
Floyd A. "Bub" Dean, 84, died Nov. 1, 2011, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.
He was born April 27, 1927, in Hutchinson, the son of Floyd L. and Emma Schrader Dean.
He was a lifetime Hutchinson area resident, attended Hutchinson High School and was a member of the class of 1945. He was a retired farmer, was a member of Kansas Farm Bureau, National Rifle Association and was an avid trap shooter.
On July 27, 1947, he married Virginia Ann Pells in Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Troy, Derby; daughters, Vicki and Jerry Josephson, Hutchinson, and Kathy and Terry Kasparek, Salina; a sister, Donna Bether, Buhler, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, 2011, in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Bob Phipps officiating. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to noon Friday all at Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Reno County or Mennonite Friendship Manor, in care of the mortuary.
