Floyd A. Osgood, 88, died Feb. 11, 2013, at Hospice House. He was born Dec. 22, 1924, in Hale, Mo., to Frank and Zelpha (Wurster) Osgood.
Floyd was a member of the Teamsters Union, Son's of the American Legion, and American Legion Lysle Rishel Post #68.
On Jan. 11, 1969, he married Virginia "Ginger" Ann Waggoner in Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include: children, Floyd Osgood Jr., Barbara Woods, Darrell Osgood, Marilyn Scott, Michelle Goodwin; stepson, Michael Wood; sister, Mary Doss; brother-in-law, Alan Waggoner and wife Lanora; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Floyd was preceded in death by: parents; a sister; and two brothers.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, with Chaplain Bob Phipps officiating. Burial will be in Penwell Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday with family to receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
