Floyd Keith Rayl, 81, deid May 27, 2007 at Hospice House.
He was born Sept 7, 1925, in Hutchinson the son of Clarence Morgan and Nellie Ora Miller Rayl. He graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1943 and attended Hutchinson Junior College and Salt City Business College. A lifetime resident of Hutchinson, he was a clerk for the Santa Fe Railroad for 38 years, retiring in 1985.
He belonged to Coast-to-Coast RV Camping Club, Brotherhood of Railroad Clerks, and was a charter member of ELCAP Credit Union. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946 as a fireman first class on the USS Naifeh (DE-352).
On April 14, 1949 he married Alvina Marie Farney at Zion Lutheran Church, Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Linda Kay Hart, Salem, Oregon, Marsha Lynn Mielke and husband Steven, Hutchinson and Annette Marie Smith and husband Monty, Hutchinson; seven grandchildren, Jeremy, Christina and David Hart, Eric and Chad Mielke and Owen and Austin Smith.
He was prededed in death by five brothers, Earl, Leo, Walter, Sidney and Clyde Rayl; three sisters, Faye Shepherd, Cora Ackerman and Rose Hale; and a grandson, Brett Mielke.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson with Pastor Ivan Miller presiding. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.
