Floyd E. Schnurr, 67, died June 7, 2006, at his home in Hutchinson.
He was born May 21, 1929, in Lewis, the son of Clarence Lee and Pauline Irene Perry Schnurr. He was a 1956 graduate of Partridge High School, Partridge. A lifetime resident of Hutchinson he was owner and operator of Floyd's Lawn Business and supervisor at Winchester Food, Inc., for 28 years.
He belonged to Freewill Baptist Church, a member of Loyal Order of the Moose No. 982 and Coon Hunting Association. He was a Private First Class in the U.S. Army, serving from 1962 to 1964 in Germany.
On Sept. 13, 1958, he married Martha Mae Snow in Newton. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Ronnie E., Hutchinson; a daughter, Kristina Patterson, Hutchinson; a sister, Jeannette Schnurr, Wichita; and three grandchildren
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Art Maddock presiding. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Friday with the family greeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, with military graveside honors conducted by Fort Riley Honor Guard.
