Floyd Schraeder, 84, died Aug. 4, 2007, at Galichia Heart Hospital, Wichita.

He was born April 23, 1923, in Rush Center, the son of Otto and Blanche Jecha Schraeder. A lifetime resident of Rush County, moving to Hutchinson in 1989, he was a stockman and farmer, retiring in 1989.

He belonged to the First United Methodist Church.

On Oct. 14, 1951, he married Arlene McCall in Kanopolis. She survives.

Other survivors include: a son, Robert and wife, Tabetha, Hutchinson; a daughter, Joyce Phillips and husband, Jim, Buhler; and grandchildren, Sarah Mattson, Karen Schraeder, Katie Phillips and Preston Schraeder.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Mark Conard presiding. Graveside service will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in La Crosse Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the funeral home. The family will receive friends following the service at the mortuary.
