Frances Rosamond Burnett, 95, died Nov. 25, 2020, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, KS.

She was born June 5, 1925, on a farm south of Arlington, the oldest child of Raymond and Ruth (Croas) Warner.

A lifetime resident of Arlington, Frances was a farm wife and mother, until her children left home.  She then worked for 10 years as a paraprofessional in the Reno Co. Special Education Coop.   Frances was a member of the Arlington United Methodist Church. For over 50 years, she taught adult Sunday School, and was a member and leader in the United Methodist Women.  She was active in the community, including a leader in the Boy and Girl Scouts.

Frances graduated from Arlington High School and attended Fort Hayes State College for two years. On April 20, 1947, she married Harry Burnett in Arlington. He preceded her in death.

Other survivors include: a son, Scott and wife Rhonda Burnett; two daughters, Beth Burnett and husband Greg Patterson, and Christie Burnett, all of Kansas City, MO; five grandchildren, Sam (Cait), Jake, Anna, Ben, and Katie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; a sister, Jean Ruta, and brothers, Harold, Richard, and Jerry.

A graveside service was held for immediate family only Saturday, November 28, 2020, at Arlington Cemetery, Arlington. A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, September 30, 2021, at the Arlington United Methodist Church, with Pastor Char Cross presiding.

Frances gave often to those in need and donated to charities helping those less fortunate. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Food Bank of Reno County or Arlington United Methodist Church, in care of the Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main St., Hutchinson KS 67501.
