Frances E. Davies, 86, of Hutchinson, died November 19, 2016, at Good Samaritan Society, Hutchinson. She was born July 8, 1930, in Hutchinson, to George F. and Lucille F. (King) Ellsworth.

Frances graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1948. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family.

On June 29, 1947, she married Norwood "Shorty" Davies, Jr., in Hutchinson. He died April 15, 2004.

Frances is survived by children, Harold Davies and wife Janet of Hutchinson, Mike Davies and wife Kathy of Weslaco, TX, Karen Dalke and husband Randy of Des Moines, IA, Tim Davies and fiancee Carolyn Poole of Hutchinson, Debbie Gates and husband Darrell of Hutchinson; 17 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Smith of Hutchinson, Linda Whitney of South Hutchinson, Barbara Wade of Arkansas; and brother-in-law, Frank Davies of Hutchinson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, George and Larry Ellsworth; sister, Sandra Lingle; daughter, Patricia "Trish" Davies; granddaughters, Mardell Davies and Heather Davies; great-grandchildren, Lydia Araiza and Finnigan Dalke.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Karen Dalke officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park.

Friends may call 9-9 Tuesday with family to receive friends from 6-8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
