Frances M. Halsig's Obituary
Frances M. Halsig, 77, died June 28, 2008, at her home, Hutchinson.
She was born April 6, 1931, in Kinsley, the daughter of Nick and Bertha Herbers Tasset. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1950. A resident of Hutchinson since 1985, she was a homemaker and an avid quilter.
On April 10, 1951, she married Ernie L. Halsig in Kinsley. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Mark Halsig and wife Marci McClive, Accident, Md.; a daughter, Marcia Halsig, Hutchinson; grandsons, Michael Halsig, and wife Erica, Hutchinson, and Finley Halsig and wife Christy, Wichita; granddaughter, Jordan Halsig, Madison, Wis.; and two sisters, Rose Marie Elpers, Kinsley, and Lucille Tasset, Dubuque, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation is planned. There will be no visitation or public services. Private family services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
