Frances Isbell-Dewald, 98, of South Hutchinson, died Feb. 2, 2011, at Mennonite Manor in South Hutchinson.
She was born Dec. 2, 1912, at Anadarko, Okla., the daughter of John Franklin and Carolina Saralina Hollis Paul.
She attended schools in Anadarko and moved to Hutchinson in 1952. She was a retired waitress and cook at several restaurants in Hutchinson. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Hutchinson.
She married Dalphie D. "Red" Isbell on Dec. 12, 1926, in Anadarko, Okla. He died July 1, 1952.
Survivors include: children, Helen "Penny" Crain of Wichita, Oral D. "Sonny" Isbell of Baltimore, Md., Jewell B. Rowland and husband Bill of Buhler, Richard D. Isbell and wife Wilma of Noble, Okla., Ruby E. Borntrager and husband Lee of Buhler, Betty G. McConnell of Partridge, and Johnny E. Isbell and wife Karen of Oklahoma City; 17 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial graveside inurnment will be held at a later date at Hinton Cemetery, Hinton, Okla.
