Frank Capetillo, 73, of South Hutchinson, died February 20, 2023, at Hospice House of Hutchinson. He was born March 9, 1949, in Kyle, TX, to Guadalupe Torres Capetillo and Jesusa Hernandez Capetillo.

Frank earned his GED and spent several decades as a career carpenter and roofer. Independent but community oriented, he enjoyed the outdoors as a way to bond with his family, fishing and camping with his father in-law, Leroy Cruz, and his children. A game enthusiast, Frank regularly enjoyed playing Canasta and dominoes with his mother in-law, Bettie Cruz (Nee Curnette) and whatever extended family happened to drop by for the evening.

Having never remarried, Frank enjoyed a lifelong relationship with Donna Hildebrandt. They officially celebrated 25 years just before his passing. She survives.

Also surviving are: his children, Frank Capetillo Jr, Joe Elias Capetillo and wife Rachel Capetillo, Valentino Cruz and wife Myrna Hernandez, Brandon Cruz and wife Laney Martinez, and youngest daughter Brandie Cruz; sisters, Mary Capetillo Trevino and Jovita Capetillo Ortiz; eight grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Frank was preceded in death by: his parents; siblings, Eleda Rodriquez, Gloria Capetillo Zavala, Gabriel Capetillo, Benjamin Capetillo; and in-laws, Leroy Cruz and Bettie Cruz.

The family has chosen not to have services at this time.
