Frank E. Winter Jr., 71, of Hutchinson, died July 22, 2017, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born February 7, 1946, in Chicago, IL, to Frank E. Sr. and Betty Ann (Shuler) Winter. He graduated from Hutchinson High School and attended Hutchinson Community College. Frank enjoyed gardening and fishing.
On December 27, 1980, he married Bernice J. Michael in Hutchinson. They shared 36 years of marriage.
He is survived by: wife, Bernice of the home; son, Michael and wife Judi of Hutchinson; granddaughters, Briana Winter and Alysa Winter, both of Wichita; and sisters, Mary Young of Arvada, CO, Carolyn Piken of Hutchinson; and nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Father Ned J. Blick officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today through service day. Memorials may be made to Cancer Council of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501. Frank and Bernice believed in the advice of 'paying it forward'. Please find a way to pay-it-forward in Frank's memory.
