Franklin Douglas Sherwood, of Hutchinson, better known as 'Doug' to his family and friends, passed from this life at age 55, on February 24, 2018, after a brief, hard battle with cancer. He was born October 21, 1962, in Olathe, Kansas, to John and Doris Sherwood.

He was a retired truck driver.

Franklin leaves behind: a son, Douglas Sherwood; and three sisters, Pam Tuxhorn (Ed), Kathy Baker (Mike), Connie Romesburg (Fred). He was an uncle to: John Clune of Lawrence, Frank Clune (Lyndsey), Justin Romesburg (Tina); and several great-nieces and nephews, all of Hutchinson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Per Doug's request there will be no service, as cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date. Memorials may be made to Hutchinson Animal Shelter, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS, 67501.
