PRETTY PRAIRIE - Fred C. Graber, 91, died Oct. 29, 2006, at Prairie Sunset Home, Pretty Prairie.
He was born May 12, 1915, in Pretty Prairie, the son of Henry C. and Carrie Krehbiel Graber. He graduated from Pretty Prairie High School. A lifetime resident of the Pretty Prairie community, he was a retired farmer and dairyman.
He belonged to First Mennonite Church, Pretty Prairie, Lions Club, was on the board of directors of Prairie Sunset Home and served on the Pretty Prairie City Council.
On Nov. 25, 1940, he married Virginia Kaufman. She died Aug. 15, 2006.
Survivors include: two sons, Ron, Oklahoma City, and Greg, Andover; a daughter, Betty White, Newton; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Art, Milt, Harvey, Jake and Joe; and six sisters, Matilda Henson, Alvina Graber, Ann Wedel, Emma Stucky, Helen Schrag and Florence Stucky.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Mennonite Church, Pretty Prairie, with Pastor Lester Zook presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in First Mennonite Church Cemetery, Pretty Prairie.
