Freda Chapman's Obituary
Freda Chapman, 90, died April 12, 2008, at Deseret Health Care, Hutchinson.
She was born May 29, 1917, in Bee Branch, Ark., the daughter of Amos and Lou Ward Hall. A resident of Hutchinson since 1959, she was a homemaker and ran a day care out of her home for 10 years.
On Nov. 8, 1936, she married Jack Chapman in Houston, Ark. He died Feb. 15, 1989.
Survivors include: two daughters, Lois Voth and husband, Eldon, and Linda Nielsen and husband, Robert, all of Hutchinson; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and four sisters.
Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Art Maddock presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorials may be sent to Hospice Care of Kansas or the donor's choice, in care of the mortuary.
