Freda J. Keesling, 85, died April 10, 2013, at her home.
Born March 29, 1928, in Hutchinson, to Roy V. and Myrtle O. (Jordan) Staats, she graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1946. Along with being a loving mother and grandmother (and the world's best housekeeper), she worked at Pegues in Hutchinson and in the mail department of Boeing/Wichita.
She married Leo A. Keesling March 9, 1945, in Hutchinson. She was a Jehovah's Witness. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Leo; son, Steven Keesling of Sylvia; daughters, Susan Gates of Haven and Chris Brown of Hutchinson; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and no services are planned. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
