Freda M. Werner, 98, died Dec. 23, 2010, at Dillon Living Center, Hutchinson. She was born May 15, 1912, in Sylvia, the daughter of Wiley A. and Carrie F. Haskins Clothier. She graduated from Sylvia High School in 1930. A resident of Hutchinson, she was a retired secretary for McConnell Air Force Base, Wichita.
She belonged to First Christian Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of Union Veterans and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.

In May 1931, she married Ted R. Johnson. He died Nov. 28, 1955. On June 29, 1962, she married Henry S. Werner in Wichita. He died July 27, 1995. Survivors include: two daughters, Bonnie Patterson and Lorna Schultz, both of Hutchinson; a brother, Ordo Clothier, Lebanon, Ore.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson; a brother, Clevy Clothier; and three sisters, Alta Spear, Nellie Shepherd and Bessie Byram.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday Dec. 27, 2010, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Dale Richman presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
