Freddie LaGreca, 51, of Hutchinson, died Sept. 13, 2016, at his home. He was born July 9, 1965, in Wichita, to Frederick and Judy Kay (Merrill) LaGreca.
Freddie graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1983 and attended Hutchinson Community College. He was the former owner/operator of Hambelton LaGreca Super Center and a beloved farmer. Freddie was a member of Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever.
On May 20, 2014, he married Patti Hysell in Hutchinson. She survives. Other survivors include: daughters, Erin Lewis and husband Jon of Mulvane, Katie Thacker and husband William of Hutchinson; sons, Nick LaGreca and Cody LaGreca of Hutchinson; stepdaughter, Holly Thielen of Wichita; stepson, Holden Thielen of Wichita; grandchildren, Lauren Lewis and Aubrey Lewis of Mulvane; father, Fred LaGreca and wife Sharon of Andover; mother, Judy LaGreca of Hutchinson; sisters, Kerry Chalmers and husband Brian of Loveland, Colo., and Tracy LaGreca of Hutchinson; and in-laws, Richard and Mary Hysell of Lyons. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, at The Father's House, 1505 E. 20th Ave., Hutchinson, with Bishop Quintin Moore officiating. Private family burial will take place at a later date. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Reno County or Cancer Council of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
