Frieda V. Ahrens' Obituary
Frieda V. Ahrens, 84, died Sept. 26, 2007, at Mennonite Manor, South Hutchinson.
She was born July 15, 1923, in Karval, Colo., the daughter of Gotthilf and Anna Bertha Theresa Frohreich Witt. She was a resident of Hutchinson. She graduated from Blue Cliff High School, Karval, Colo., in 1941. She was a homemaker.
She belonged to Walnut and Campbell Church of Christ.
On June 7, 1946, she married Leo L. Ahrens in Hutchinson. He died Jan. 28, 2004.
Survivors include: a son, Doug Ahrens, Colorado Springs, Colo.; a daughter, Victoria Foreman and husband, Carter, South Hutchinson; two brothers, Bernard Lee Witt, Hutchinson, and Franklin Dee Witt, Hutchinson; a daughter-in-law, Geneen Ahrens, Denver; eight grandchildren, Justin Ahrens, Victor Kocher, Jason Ahrens, Jonathan Ahrens, Julie Hopkins, Georgianna Githens, Gail Kocher, and Elsa Fritz; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Timothy Ahrens; a brother; and a sister.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Walnut and Campbell Church of Christ with Bob Phipps presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m., Friday at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery.
