STERLING - Galen D. Crabbs, 60, died May 4, 2013, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born November 4, 1952, in Hutchinson to John and Elizabeth (Elliott) Crabbs.

He was retired from Dillon's Warehouse.
Galen was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he loved the outdoors. He loved spending time with his grandkids, and oh how they loved him! He was a wonderful person and had so many dear friends. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by: his wife, Barbara Brown Crabbs, of Sterling; daughter, Jessica Daniel, husband Rob, and their children, Jackson, and JJ, of Oklahoma; Justin Crabbs, of Wichita; stepdaughter, Chelee Bath, husband Nathan, and their children Ayden, and Addison, of Manhattan; stepson, Kristopher Groves, wife Sunny, and their children, Mason, and Maddison, of Hutchinson; brothers, Eddie Crabbs, and wife Italia, of Hutchinson, JD Crabbs, of Texas, Wayne Crabbs, of California; sister, Joanne Martin and husband Paul, of Hutchinson.

Galen was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Matt Stafford officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
