Garry D. Bonham's Obituary
Garry D. Bonham, 73, died Feb. 2, 2014, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born Feb. 5, 1940, in Harper, to Wayne D. and Lois (Smith) Bonham.
He graduated from Anthony High School, and then attended Oklahoma Christian College in Oklahoma City and York College in York, Neb. Garry graduated from Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 1964. He was a retired Kansas licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. Garry also owned the International Harvester farm machinery dealership in Anthony for 10 years. He was a member of the KFDA and the NFDA. He was a member of Eastwood Church of Christ.
On July 24, 1965, he married Mary Hudgens in Anthony. She survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Darren Bonham and wife Pamela of Alma, Ark. and Jason Bonham and wife Janice of Nickerson; three grandchildren, Dylan, Derek and Dalton of Nickerson; two brothers, Theron Bonham of Tampa, Fla. and Ronald Bonham and wife Diane of Anthony; and many nieces and nephews. Garry was preceded in death by his parents; twin brother, Larry Bonham; and niece, Michelle Bonham.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at Eastwood Church of Christ, Hutchinson, with Jimie-Wray Mead officiating. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at Forest Park Cemetery, Anthony. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be made to Eastwood Church of Christ or American Diabetes Association, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
