Obituary

Gary Max Banker, 60, died October 10, 2020, at his home in Haven, KS.  He was born August 23, 1960, in Hutchinson, to Max and Maxine (Perryman) Banker.

Gary was a graduate of Fairfield High School, and a retired Master butcher, working for several local meat markets and processors.  He enjoyed hunting and trapshooting, winning several Amateur Trapshooting Association competitions.

Gary is survived by:  son, Max of Hutchinson; daughter, Jana of Santa Monica, CA; sisters, Pam Banker of Oklahoma and Vicki Palmatier of Haven; brother, Todd of Arlington; nephews, Terry Palmatier of Haven and Joshua Banker of Arlington; nieces, Wendy Kowitz of Mount Hope and Anna WhiteShield of Oklahoma; and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A gathering to celebrate his life will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2020, at the Arlington Community Center, 900 W. Main, Arlington, KS.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Gary Banker Memorial Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
