Gary Dean Hallford, 63, of Hutchinson, died April 25, 2019, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. He was born January 25, 1956, in Pratt, the son of John G. and Lafara M. (Smith) Hallford. Gary graduated from Haven High School in 1974 and Hutchinson Community College in 1976. He was a warehouseman for Dillons and was a member of Teamsters Local #795. Gary had attended Haven Baptist Church and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, where he served as a Trustee and Sunday school teacher.

On August 7, 1976, Gary married Kelly L. Stewart. They shared 42 years of marriage. She survives.

Also surviving are: sons, Chad Hallford, Albuquerque, NM, Kyle Hallford (Brandi), Andover; brother, John Michael Hallford (Janet), Hutchinson; sisters, Debra Schriever (Doug), Partridge, Lessie Diener (Marvin), Olathe; his Jack Russell terrier, Chloe; and two granddogs.

He was preceded in death by his parents and niece, Julie May Hallford.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at New Hope Baptist Church, 4815 E. 4th Ave., Hutchinson, with Pastor Brian Lee and Dr. David K. Lallathin officiating. Burial will follow in Laurel Cemetery, Haven. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, at Elliott Mortuary.
