Obituary

Gary Knuckles, 57, died Oct. 29, 2007, at Lake Kanopolis, Kanopolis.

He was born Oct. 20, 1950, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., the son of George and Dorothy Crabtree Knuckles. He graduated from Chapman High School in 1968 and Missouri Southern, Joplin, Mo. He lived in Salina before moving to Hutchinson in 2001. He was a registered nurse at the Hutchinson Hospital Emergency Room. He formerly worked at St. John's and Salina Regional Health Center for 23 years.

He belonged to the Emergency Nurses Association, and Kansas State Nurses Association. He served in the Air Force during Vietnam from 1970-1974.

On Aug. 10, 2002, he married Marilyn Hager in Las Vegas. She survives.

Other survivors include: three daughters, Kimberly Rutter, and Christine Miller both of Abilene, Hillary Knuckles, Salina, two stepsons, Jason Mauch, Bennington, Jamie Mauch of Vista, Ca., parents, George and Dorothy Knuckles, Buffalo, Mo., a sister, Donna Ichord, Honolulu, Hawaii, and four grandchildren.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Nov. 2, 2007, at Elliott Chapel, graveside service will be 3 p.m. in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina, with pastor Matt Stafford Presiding. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Chapel with family receiving friends 6 to 8 p.m.
