Gary L. McClellan, 86, died August 26, 2024, at Kingman Community Hospital.  He was born November 23, 1937, in Wellington, to Orman "Mac" and Dorothy (Argo) McClellan.

A longtime resident of Hutchinson, Gary worked more than 20 years for Farmland Indiana Steel Products Plant and 13 years as a groundskeeper at Hutchinson Community College. He was in the Kansas Air Guard from 1960-1966.  Gary was a member of the Harley Owners Group and a Corvette owner for many years.

In June 1985, he married Marilyn (Dobbs) Martin, at McPherson.  She died September 26, 2021.

Gary is survived by:  son, Michael McClellan (Lisa) of Whitefish, MT; stepchildren, Karen Pepperd (Paul) of Kingman and Terry Martin of Hutchinson; stepdaughter-in-law, Rita Martin of McPherson; brother, Charles McClellan of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Dustin Densler (Dorian) and Shanna Martin; and great-grandson, Jakob Densler.

He was preceded in death by:  his parents; wife; brother, Robert; and stepson, Tod.

Per Gary's wishes, private family burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS  67501 is in charge of arrangements.
