Gary Nelson Lane, 52, of Hutchinson, died July 21, 2020.  He was born May 19, 1968, in Moundridge, to Nelson R. and Norma G. (Schroeder) Lane.

Gary was a graduate of Hutchinson High School and had his own mechanic shop. He loved everything about automobile racing – from building motors to pit crew to driving.

Gary is survived by: daughter, Rachel Lane (Dakota Dale), Hutchinson; step-children, Holli Baughman, Stafford, Joey Baughman, Hutchinson, Cody Babcock, Hutchinson, Brooke Warren, Kansas City, MO; mother, Norma Barnes, Hutchinson; sister, Karen Roberts (Jeff), South Hutchinson; nephew, Matthew Pinkston, South Hutchinson; nieces, Alexis Danielson (Shawn), Wichita, and Taylor Roberts, South Hutchinson.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2020, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5905 W. 4 ^th Ave., with Pastor Jerry Stokely officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
