Gary Allen Rich, 76, died Thursday, December 3, 2020, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born December 14, 1943, in Sterling, to Marion Edwin and Vivian (Miller) Rich.

Gary was a graduate of Nickerson High School and Salt City Business College. He was a member of Grace Bible Church.

Gary was a businessman, working many years for Collins Bus before purchasing Fairview Service. He was owner for 14 years, continuing to work part-time until February of this year.

On September 20, 1964, he married Betty JoAnn Regier at Buhler Mennonite Church. His wife Betty, of over 56 years of marriage, survives. Also surviving are: children, Scott and wife Kathy, Amy and husband Chad Gilbert, all of Hutchinson; siblings, Joyce and husband John Welker of South Hutchinson, and Marvin Rich and wife Jane of Sterling; five grandchildren, Matthew Rich and wife Celestia, Mason Rich, William Rich, Cole Gilbert, and Corey Gilbert; and one niece and three nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has taken place. There are no services planned at this time.

Friends may sign his memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
