SOUTH HUTCHINSON - Gayle L. Horyna, 57, died Dec. 13, 2005, at her home, South Hutchinson.
She was born Jan. 31, 1948, in Anthony, the daughter of Herman V. and Helen L. Cochran Swafford. A South Hutchinson resident since 1969, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to First United Methodist Church.
On July 3, 1965, she married Robert L. Horyna in Bluff City. He survives.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Teresa Graham and husband, Scott, Sand Springs, Okla., and Tammy Burkhart and husband, Brent, Hutchinson; her mother, Helen Swafford, Harper; three brothers, Leon Swafford and wife, Gail and Lee Swafford, all of Harper, and Tom Swafford and wife, Tammy, South Hutchinson; three sisters, Pat Norris, Linda Allton and husband, Phill, all of Wellington, and Karen Williams and husband, Bill, Harper; and three grandchildren, Jeremy and Dustin Graham and Peyton Burkhart.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert; a daughter, Tracy; a sister, Brenda; and her father, Herman.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mark Conard presiding. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bluff City. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
Memorials may be sent to the church, Cancer Council of Reno County or Hospice of Reno County, all in care of the mortuary. Personal condolences may be sent to www.elliottmortuary.com.
