Gayle Lynne Markhart, 62, of Hutchinson, died September 26, 2021, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born on September 19, 1959, in Clay County, Missouri, to Lester and Ava (Perkins) Markhart.

Gayle was a dietary aide at Elm Grove assisted living facility for 25 years. She loved her grandchildren and was very proud of them. Gayle would go out on a limb for anyone and was always willing to help if she could.

In 1982 she began her life with John Palmatier. He passed away on July 8, 2013.

Gayle is survived by: daughters, Leslie Moore and Katie "Did" Markhart; son, Jonathan "Lil John" Palmatier (Jessica); granddaughters, Jenna Lynn and Peggy June Moore; brothers, Ron (Lou) and Les (Teri) Markhart; nieces, Robin and Ruthie; and nephew, Casey.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, John Palmatier; and siblings, Frances Markhart, Donald Markhart, Lonnie Markhart, Janet Valient Markhart, and Bobby Markhart.

Celebration of life will be announced at a later date by the family.
