Gaylord Sidebottom's Obituary
Gaylord Sidebottom, 72, died Oct. 21, 2006 at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born July 2, 1934 in Dodge City, the son of Glenn and Josephine Laverna Abbey Sidebottom. He graduated from Kinsley High School and attended Dodge City JUCO. A resident of Hutchinson for the past seven years, moving from Dodge City. He was a terminal manager for Santa Fe Trail Trucklines, Great Bend and Dodge City and was a truck driver for Liquid Carbonic, Dodge City, retiring in 1996.
He belonged to the Antique and Collectors Club, Hutchinson.
On Aug. 30, 1969 he married Ruth Ann Mitchell in Dodge City. She survives.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Gaylee Johnson, Beeler and Brenda Sears, Stafford; a sister, Glenna Mecum, Liberal and six grandsons and three granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Derrick Glenn and Tim L. Sidebottom and a brother, Ronald Sidebottom.
Celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Arlington Cemetery, with Pastor Quintin Moore presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Cremation has taken place.
Memorials may be sent to the donor's choice in care of Elliott Mortuary.
