Eugene "Gene" Buchanan, 82, died peacefully September 26, 2022, at Hospice House. He was born February 20, 1940, in Somerset, KY.

Gene leaves behind his wife of 33 years, Della (Liles) Buchanan; children, Nancy Deel, Joshua (Patti) Liles, Aaron (Annie) Liles, Corey (Pagon) Buchanan, Natalie (Codey) Wakefield; grandchildren, Joel, Jason, Willie, Jacob, Abbi, Michael, Alayna, Veronica, Bethanee, Kailey, Laken, Jonah, Isabelle; mother-in-law, Geraldine "Jo" Stewart; and brothers-in-law, Christopher (Stacey) Stewart, Patrick Stewart.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Everett and Grace Buchanan; brother, Lee Buchanan; daughter, Anita Thill; grandchildren, Annastacia Liles, Autumn Breeze Deel; and father-in-law, Wayne Stewart.

Parish Rosary will be 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 211 E. 5 ^th Ave. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. in Round Springs Cemetery, Hunter, KS. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with the family present to receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary.
