Gene "Spence" David Spencer, Jr.'s Obituary
STERLING – Gene David "Spence" Spencer Jr., 54, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at his home. He was born Jan. 1, 1960, in Hutchinson, the son of Gene David Sr. and Beverly Joan Lemen Spencer.
He attended Little River Schools and had worked construction with Mark Borecky Construction. Spence was an avid racing fan.
He is survived by three daughters, Gina (Joseph) Mead of Augusta, Amber Spencer of Sterling, Kathryn (Matthew) Cooper; a sister, Julie Fehrenbacher, and a brother, Randy, all of Hutchinson; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant children; and a grandchild. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at The Father's House, 1505 E. 20th Avenue, Hutchinson, with Pastor Quintin Moore presiding.
Cremation is planned. His register book will be available to sign from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Gene Spencer Memorial Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
