LANGDON - Gene D. Locke, 92, died Oct. 21, 2010, at Mennonite Friendship Manor, South Hutchinson.
He was born Nov. 8, 1917, in Arlington, to Clifford Alvin and Myrtle Rose Conard Locke.
He was a farmer/rancher/stockman in the Arlington and Langdon communities.
Gene was a member of the Arlington United Methodist Church, Langdon Township and Arlington Co-Op Board. He was a 32nd degree Mason and Past Master of Cable Masonic Lodge #299 A.F. & A.M., Arlington.
On Oct. 20, 1939, he married Lois P. Garrison in Salina. She died Sept. 30, 2007.
Survivors include: a son, Steve E., Hutchinson; daughter, Pamela J. Scott, Hurst, Texas; brother, Gale Locke, Arlington; 4 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Loree Locke; sister, Ethel Baker; grandson, Tad Douglas Locke and a niece, Kay Baker.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, at Elliott Chapel with Pastor Ken Keeling officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
