Geneva M. Maxwell's Obituary
PARTRIDGE - Geneva M. Maxwell, 96, died April 3, 2006, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born Feb. 5, 1910, in Troy Township, Reno County, the daughter of Charles and Bertha M. Blake Amerman. A lifetime Partridge and Reno County resident, she graduated from Partridge High School in 1928. She taught school from 1932 to 1937 at the Fairmont School, rural Reno County, and was a homemaker.
She belonged to Partridge Community Church.
On Aug. 4, 1937, she married Elva Leo Maxwell in Hutchinson. He died Jan. 31, 1983.
Survivors include: a son, Dan and his wife, Georgia Maxwell, Partridge; two granddaughters, Elaine Owen and her husband, Jerry, St. Paul, Ore., and Lori Rose and her husband, Scott, Hutchinson; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Glen and Leon Amerman; and a sister, Rowena P. Maxwell O'Hara.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Partridge Cemetery, with the Rev. Sam Askew presiding. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, all at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
