Geneva E. Morgan, 89, of Hutchinson, died Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Presbyterian Manor, Wichita. She was born October 25, 1928, in Castleton, to John J. and Emma C. (Graber) Goering.

Geneva graduated from Castleton High School in 1946 and Hutchinson Community College in 1948. She was a farmer and sales manager for World Book-Childcraft Enterprises. Education was extremely important to Geneva. She enjoyed teaching elementary students for two years, until she started her family and substitute teaching later in life. Geneva had many interests, including photography, painting, and reading, to name a few. She was a member of Tenth Avenue United Methodist Church, Hutchinson. Faith and family were her priorities.

On June 8, 1949, she married Jack W. Morgan in Pretty Prairie. He died April 10, 2001, after 51 years of marriage.
Geneva is survived by: sons, William P. Morgan (Nancy) of Burrton, Randall J. Morgan (Betty) of Wichita, James L. M. Morgan (Tammy Maurer) of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Robert M. Morgan (Ann) of Goddard; seven grandchildren, John Morgan, Thomas Morgan, Justin Morgan, Lindsay Wilke, Laura Gottlob, Blake Morgan, Clark Morgan; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents; infant son, Warren Michael Morgan; and brothers, John Goering Jr., Glen Goering, and Vern Goering.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018, at Tenth Avenue United Methodist Church, 300 W. 10th, Hutchinson, with the Reverend Richard G. Brooks officiating. Private family burial will take place in Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the book from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at Elliott Mortuary. The casket will remain closed.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Geneva E. Morgan Scholarship Fund, (for the benefit of Hutchinson Community College students), or Tenth Avenue United Methodist Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
