Genevieve Becker Dellenbach, 92, entered into rest Sunday, May 23, 2010, at The Place, Martinez Augusta, Georgia. She was born March 27, 1918, on a farm near Goltry, Oklahoma, the daughter of Amel J. and Mary Kathryn Luginbill Becker. She was raised in Burrton. For over 30 years she was the wedding coordinator at First Assembly of God Church, where she belonged for 70 years. This was a special calling in her life, along with visiting the sick, singing in the church choir and a trio. Her favorite hobby was working to help family and friends in any way she could.
On July 30, 1939, she married Elmer Joseph Dellenbach in Hutchinson. He died September 2, 1995. She is survived by: two daughters, Beverly Martin, Evans, Georgia, and Delila "Dee" Royer Shaw and husband Jack, Harlem, Georgia; five grandchildren and their spouses, Terry and Marilyn Martin, Cindy and Ricky Coule, Angela and Gregg Norris, Kevin and Glennita Royer and Eddie and Trina Royer; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Stephen Elmer; a granddaughter, Carla Jean Martin; and two brothers, Vernon and Robert Becker.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 28, 2010, at Elliott Chapel, with Ricky Coule and Eddie Royer officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, with family present 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will be in Partridge Cemetery.
