George Samuel Brown, 56, of Hutchinson, died Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born October 31, 1961, in Salina, the son of Kenneth Wayne and Margaret Beatrice (Hamsher) Brown.

George graduated from Salina Central High School in 1980. He worked at the Hutchinson Correctional Facility and as a restaurant manager for McDonald's, graduating from 'Hamburger University'. George's greatest joy was being a grandpa. He was a member of Park Place Christian Church.
On May 14, 1982, he married Kristy Legore in Salina. They shared 36 years of marriage.

George is survived by: wife, Kristy; daughters, Melissa Lacy, April Gilbert (Nicholas), Roberta Marshall (Michael), all of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Rhylo, Geordi, Jorah, to arrive in October; sisters, Cathy Clark (Bill), Cheri Davenport (Kim), Millie Brooks (Gary); mother-in-law, Karen Legore; two stepbrothers; and three stepsisters.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; stepmom, Pauline Brown; father-in-law, Robert Legore; and niece, Maggie Brooks.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2018, at Park Place Christian Church, 2600 N. Adams, Hutchinson, with the Reverend Claire Gadberry and the Reverend Dr. David Dubovich officiating. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary. Memorials may be made to the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation or The National Kidney Foundation, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
