George E. "Ed" Samms' Obituary
George Edwin "Ed" Samms, 59, died March 28, 2010, at his home in Hutchinson.
He was born July 29, 1950, in Philadelphia, to Loren A. and Helen G. Martin Samms.
He graduated from Sylvia High School in 1968.
He married Sharon A. Buckridge Oct. 4, 1982, in Hutchinson. She also passed away March 28, 2010.
Survivors include: a daughter, Kelli Herbison and husband Zach, Wichita; two brothers, Tom, New Hampshire, and Bob, Hutchinson; sister, Debbie Keene, Hutchinson; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson.
Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2010, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Melvin Parrott presiding. Burial will be in Murdock Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary. Cremation will take place.
Memorials may be made to Ed Samms Memorial Fund in care of the mortuary.
