George G. Moss' Obituary
George G. Moss, 83, died August 2, 2013, at his home in Hutchinson. He was born April 20, 1930, in Hutchinson, to Garold and Anna (Shugar) Moss.
George graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1948 and retired as an independent contractor for the U.S. Postal Service.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church.
He met Betty Ann Bender at Dairy Queen. They were married on July 7, 1952, in Fayetteville, Ark. She preceded him in death on June 14, 2010.
George is survived by: children, Teresa Long, Kathy King and husband Rick, Annie Jennings all of Hutchinson, David Moss and wife Tammy of Moore, Okla., Tim Moss and wife Keri, Kent Moss, Kevin Moss, Barb Helms and husband Pat all of Hutchinson; 21 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Moss; son, Steven Lee Moss; and son-in-law, Steve Long.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Jeff Slater officiating.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
