George Ray Stevener, 70, died Jan. 30, 2008, at his home, Hutchinson.
He was born Sept. 23, 1937, in Hutchinson, the son of Lee Roy and Amanda Marie Gustafson Stevener. He graduated in 1956 from Hutchinson High School. A resident of Hutchinson, formerly of California and Texas, he worked for PetSmart, and had owned and operated a Fish and Pet Store.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Survivors include: an adopted son, Albert Zahradnik, Rosenberg, Texas; three brothers, Konard, Wichita, Carl, San Francisco, and Robert, Simi Valley, Calif.
Memorial graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Henry Hartman presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Cremation has taken place.
