Georgia Norene (Prock) Nay, 85, of Hutchinson, died April 29, 2019, at Good Samaritan Society-Hutchinson Village. She was born October 30, 1933, in Ava, Missouri, the daughter of G. R. and Mabel Prock. Norene was one of eight siblings and graduated from Ava High School in 1949. She also attended college at SMS in Springfield, MO.

In 1952, she married Merle O. 'Bones' Nay in Wichita. He survives. They were married 66 years and had two children.

Norene worked at the ticket office as a secretary in the Athletic Department at Kansas State University. She then worked as a legal secretary for several attorneys in Kansas and was the secretary for the President of the Wichita-Eagle Beacon newspaper. Norene was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. She was a beautiful seamstress and enjoyed painting. Norene was truly a nice and kind person, and was such a blessing to family and friends.

Norene was preceded in death by: her parents; son, Christopher Orlen; three sisters; and three brothers.

She is survived by: sister, Gratie Ann Shinpaugh and husband Carl; daughter, Cynthia Ann Kitch and husband Rick; grandsons, Ross Kitch, Scott Kitch and wife Andrea; two step-grandchildren, Junilda Scribner and husband Daniel, Jeremy Tucker and wife Toni; two great-granddaughters, Liby Kitch and Kinley Kitch; three step-great-grandchildren, Alex Marie, Talon, and Ty Scribner; and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at First Church of the Nazarene, 4290 N. Monroe, Hutchinson, with Pastors Kent Pedersen and Josh Moore officiating. Friends may sign the book at Elliott Mortuary. Memorials may be made to First Church of the Nazarene (for the benefit of youth ministries), in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N.
