Georgina Ladd, 64, died Jan. 3, 2010, at her home in Hutchinson.

She was born July 2, 1945, in Hathersage, England, the daughter of Rowland and Maggie Slinn Gittus.

She graduated from Lawnswood High School for Girls in Headingley, Leeds, England. She worked for Bridlington Railroad in England and then moved to Chicago in 1964, where she worked as a statistician for Wrigley Chewing Gum. After vacationing in Hawaii, she moved to Honolulu in 1971. In 1978 she moved to Haven and to Hutchinson in 2004.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, loved animals and time at the zoo.

She is survived by two daughters, Heather Ladd of Hutchinson and Jennifer Ladd of Sylvia, and a son, Scott Ladd of Austin, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may sign the book 9-9 today through Friday, with family to receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Elliott Chapel. Cremation has taken place and ashes will be scattered at an undisclosed seaside location.

In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations to the Georgina Ladd Memorial Fund.
