SALINA - Gerald "Gary" Lee Kraisinger, 68, died May 1, 2010, at Salina Regional Health Center.

He was born June 26, 1941, in La Crosse, to Harry and Mildred Wierman Kraisinger.

He attended McCracken and Ness City Schools and graduated from Ness City High School in 1959. Gary worked for Kansas Power and Light in the Engineering Department for 20 years in Hutchinson. Later he moved to Salina where he lived at McCall Manor.

He was of the Catholic faith. He was a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose #982, Hutchinson, and Loyal Order of Moose #721, Salina, and Knights of Columbus Council #612, Hutchinson.

On Feb. 3, 1962, he married Shirley Stremel in McCracken. Survivors include: three daughters, Celeste Davis and husband Dale, Arlington, Tenn., Denise Fuller and husband Norman, Miltonvale, Kan., LeAnn Knight and husband Barry, Hutchinson; seven grandchildren, Crystal Davis Newberry, Jordan and Molly Knight, Austin and Clayton Goddard, Kadyn and Colton Fuller; brother, Larry Kraisinger and wife Sue, McAllister, Okla.; ex-wife, Shirley Bundy, Hutchinson; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Rosary will be 9:30 a.m. Friday, May 7, 2010, with Mass to follow at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, McCracken, with Father Rene presiding. Inurnment will be in McCracken Cemetery. Cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the book 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gerald Kraisinger Memorial Fund in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
