Gerald Alan "Jerry" Hadley, 74, died October 27, 2023, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born October 15, 1949, in Hutchinson, to Gilbert and Ferne (Cox) Hadley.

Jerry graduated from Nickerson High School and attended Hutchinson Community College. He worked as a serviceman for Kansas Gas Service until retirement. Jerry was a member of the Bob Campbell VFW Post 1361. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, coaching Todd and Jason's basketball teams when they were younger and taking them to sporting events. After retirement, Jerry enjoyed spending time at the VFW swapping stories with other Veterans, who became like family to him.

On August 23, 1968, he married Norma L. Henry. They shared over 53 years of marriage, prior to her death on January 12, 2022.

Jerry is survived by: sons, Todd Hadley of Hutchinson, and Jason Hadley and fiancé Stephani Hendershot of Wichita; grandchildren, Aiden Hadley, Hunter Hoagland, and Austin Hoagland; brother, Michael Hadley of Leonardville, KS; mother-in-law, Ora Henry of Hutchinson; and sister-in-law, Betty Henry of Hutchinson.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife; niece, Heather Hadley; and daughter-in-law, Holly Jo Hadley.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 1, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November, 11, 2023 at Bob Campbell V.F.W. Post #1361, 328 N. Van Buren, Hutchinson, KS, 67501.
