SOUTH HUTCHINSON - Gertrude D. "Trudy" Link, 92, died April 21, 2008, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born July 7, 1915, in Greenwood County, KS, the daughter of William Joseph and Josephine Freeman Churchman. She was retired from the Reno County Courthouse.

She belonged to the South Hutchinson United Methodist Church. On Dec. 5, 1936, she married Eugene Albert Link at Halstead. He died May 23, 1966.

Survivors include: a son, Greg Link and wife Peggy, Magnolia, Texas; a daughter, Marcheta Link, South Hutchinson; two daughters-in-law, Lila Link, South Hutchinson, and Peggy Link, Iuka; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, G. Alan, and Gail Link; six brothers and three sisters.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday April 25, 2008, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Tim Ault-Duell presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.
