Gil D. Lingle, 69, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away on August 26, 2025. He was born on July 22, 1956, in WaKeeney, Kansas, to Royce and Gatha "Trudy" (Nutter) Lingle.

In his early twenties, Gil worked as a motorcycle mechanic before joining the U.S. Army, where he served in the Signal Corps. After his honorable discharge, Gil enjoyed a long career with Motorola in Phoenix, Arizona, before returning home to Hutchinson in 2009. He loved antiquing and watching motocross, bull riding, and KU basketball with his brother, Cregg. Gil was also a devoted caregiver to his mother, Trudy Lingle, for many years prior to his passing.

Gil is survived by: his mother, Gatha "Trudy" Lingle; brothers, Brian Lingle (Linda Schmitt), Cregg Lingle (Diane), all of Hutchinson; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Royce Lingle.

Gil's earthly remains have been cremated, and a celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
