Gladys A. Jackson, 84, peacefully passed away Oct. 6, 2006, at Hospice House of Salina.
She was born March 20, 1922, in Burin, Newfoundland, the daughter of George and Elizabeth Charlotte Ross Anderson. A Hutchinson resident since 1987, moving here from Oregon, she was a homemaker and mom.
She was of the Episcopalian faith.
On Feb. 19, 1970, she married Larry Jackson in Coos-Bay, Ore. He died March 29, 2005.
Survivors include: two sons, Clyde LeeRoy Jackson, Turlock, Calif., and William I. Jackson, The Colony, Texas; a daughter, Betty Stout, Salina; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Bob Jackson; eight sisters; and a brother.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Larry K. Steadman presiding. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson.
