Glenda M. Wisby, 89, died March 6, 2011, at the Good Samaritan Center, Hutchinson.
She was born March 27, 1921, in Turon, the daughter of Glenn and Ruby Hollingshead Smith.
She was a retired employee of both Dillon's and Calhoun's, and operated several Hutchinson area restaurants.
She belonged to the 10th Avenue United Methodist Church.
On June 5, 1940, she married Wayne A. Wisby in McPherson. He died Dec. 15, 2003.
Survivors include: two daughters, Barbara Boyce, Nickerson, and Rosan Cauble, Olathe; a brother, Ralph Smith, Farmerville, La.; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Wayne Smith, and a grandson, Kurt Harden.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday March 9, 2011, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Bob Phipps, and the Rev. Alan Stambaugh presiding. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
