Glenn Miller, 79, died Friday, Aug. 6, 2015, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. He was born Nov. 15, 1935, at Nowata, Okla., the son of William S. and Clara (Yoder) Miller.
He was a member of Plainview Mennonite Church and had been a building contractor for 22 years retiring in 2000. On Aug. 19, 1955, he married Katie Miller in Hutchinson. She survives. Also surviving are: their children, Glenn Jr. (Karen), Sandra Felix (Tony), and Wendell (Keri), all of Hutchinson, Orvin (Heidi) of Fort Collins, Colo., Pam Nisly (Larry) of South Hutchinson; a brother and sister, Ivan (Emma) of Hutchinson and Orpha Yoder (Melvin) of Yoder; a sister-in-law, Clara Mae Miller of Hutchinson; 22 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Raymond.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10, 2015, at Plainview Mennonite Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation with family present will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015, at the church. Memorial gifts may be made to Prairie Lighthouse LLC, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N.
