Obituary

SOUTH HUTCHINSON - Glenn L. Simpson, 74, went to be with his Lord, June 21, 2006, at Hospice House.

He was born April 15, 1932, in rural Stanton County, the son of Roy Douglas and Martha Ellen Jones Simpson. He graduated in 1950 from Hutchinson High School. A lifetime South Hutchinson resident, he was a cabinet maker and finish carpenter, and was owner of Glenn Simpson Construction.

He belonged to Christian Life Ministries. He served in the Naval Reserve during the Korean War.

Survivors include: a daughter, Sheri Simpson, Wichita; a brother, Melvin D., Overbrook; and a sister, Dorothy Allen, Glade Spring, Va.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society or Hospice House, both in care of the funeral home
