Glenna Irene Egli, 82, died July 6, 2015, at Mennonite Friendship Communities, South Hutchinson. She was born May 2, 1933, in Hutchinson, to Joni T. and Anna C. (Yoder) Schrock.
Glenna graduated from Hesston High School in 1952, and went to nursing school in La Junta, Colo. She was a member of Journey Mennonite Church, South Hutchinson. Glenna started as a neo-natal nurse and worked as an RN at Mennonite Manor in South Hutchinson.
On Dec. 11, 1955, she married Thomas "Tom" Egli, in Yoder. He died on Aug. 4, 2001. Survivors include: son, Kurt Egli and wife Judy of Hutchinson; daughter, Karen Egli of Denver, Colo.; grandchildren, Sara Eckhoff and husband Barry of Hutchinson, Nick Egli and wife Esther of Yoder, Andrew Egli and wife Sarah of Hutchinson; great-grandchildren, Shelby Eckhoff, Justin Eckhoff, Maggie Eckhoff, Riah Egli, Mica Egli, Enoch Egli, Ellie Egli, and Lucy Egli; sister, Edie Cooprider of Wayland, Iowa; and brother, Ivan Schrock of Hutchinson. Glenna was preceded in death by: her parents and a brother, Lawrence Schrock.
Graveside service will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2015, at Yoder Cemetery, with Pastor Dale Kauffman officiating. Memorial service will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Journey Mennonite Church, Yoder. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Journey Mennonite Church, Yoder.
